Basically… they;re kinda the YJ!Verse’s “Outsiders” or “Outlaws” or whatever you want to call them.

They work separately from the League, especially since Roy would often get into trouble trying to locate original!Roy. (i.e. breaking into places without a warrant, etc… )

I suppose Jade started helping Roy out to atone for her sins? IDK. But not being forced to work for the Light opens up her options. While she does work with Roy occasionally, she will disappear for periods of time and return sporadically. She doesn’t stick to the ‘team’ nor does she give notice of when she comes and goes.

I have no idea why Artemis is hanging around these guys. The mental connection was made for me when her sister started hanging around Roy. Perhaps she also felt a need to help Roy out? IDK. Maybe she just got a little too “Grey” in terms of heroics, whereas a lot of other heroes were very black-and-white. IDK. She reminds me of Helena Bertinelli in that sense, however I didn’t really want to have her be Huntress. (Because then I couldn’t have a Helena!Huntress. xD)

Kaldur left the team a while back to help out at home in Atlantis. Obvs a lot goes on down there, with the “pure” and “impure” riot things going on. I think discovering who his father was might’ve persuaded him to leave the team. Nowadays, Kaldur’s time split between being on the surface and in Atlantis are split more evenly. However when he is on the Surface World, he spends his time with Roy and Co.

Now as for Wally….I honestly couldn’t come up with a good, legit reason as to why he was on the team, and not teaming up with Nightwing every other day. I do believe though, that the Flash in the Justice League was Barry. If it was Wally, why wouldn’t they show that in the first episode along with all the other characters? I think Wally is off somewhere else. So, back to why he’s on the team. I’m gonna go ahead and assume he’s very close to Artemis, whether they are dating or not, and he is relatively close to both Roy and Kaldur. I think that maybe he stuck with the team to be their..IDK how to say it really, conscience?? I think he put it on himself to be the moralistic guy, to make sure the crazy combo of Roy/Artemis/Jade didn’t get too wrapped up on the wrong side of the law. He stays because he is their friend though, and he usually doesn’t have to do too much “parenting” as the only one who really needs to be kept in line is Cheshire. xD But yes, he still keeps in close touch with Dick, they talk almost daily, with Wally reporting the teams whereabouts to Dick (who tries to keep the crazy stuff off the radar from the League.. xD) and the two are still very good friends.

I had this whole other page of out-of-costume scenes (my sketchbook pages are thin, you can actually see a little bit of them on this pic xD) but I want to colour them a bit/ I’m tired right now though, so good night. ;^^

TL;DR
CRAPPY ART TO KICK OFF THE NEW SEASON. DON’T LOSE FAITH IN THE SHOW JUST YET, THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE FREAKING OUT. KEEP WATCHING, I’M SURE EVERYTHING WILL BE EXPLAINED IN DUE TIME.
